Transactional support and TUPE for businesses
Employees have statutory protection against being arbitrarily dismissed.
Employees have statutory protection against being arbitrarily dismissed. This can be as a result of a business being transferred to new ownership or the demand for work not continuing. In either of these situations an employer can reach a voluntary agreement with the employee to accept a payment and waive all potential rights they might have. This is a compromise agreement and to be effective the employee must take independent legal advice before signing to certify they fully understand the rights that they are giving up and the terms of the payment being made.
We act for employees from all levels of employment, from senior executives to base level salaried staff. We provide employers with a swift, fully comprehensive service to ensure that the employees completely understand all the terms of the compromise agreement and as such it will be a clean break with no comebacks.
We advise businesses on their obligations to employees if they are considering making any redundancies.
On business sales and acquisitions we advise Employers about their obligations in relation to TUPE and the contracts of employment they are accepting transfer of and warranties relating to them.
In an initial free interview, we can advise you of the best way to proceed, and what will be involved both in time and money.
